Jack Flash

RATING

Quantity Smoked: ½ gram
Consumption Method: non-flavored hemp wrap
Flavors Detected: citrus
Notable Effects: focused, intense high, relaxed, mellow
Effects Duration (hours): 2.5+

Whoever told Jack to hit the road, please be quiet. A few pulls of this mildly citrus flavored strain can bring on full mental and body relaxation. The initial cerebral buzz you experience from Jack Flash may be intense, but in no time the effects attenuate into what is an enjoyable, calm and balanced high. It’s as if those little, chunky lime green buds somehow possess the power to center the chi! When consuming this hybrid, users can expect to experience the effects of both worlds.

3 more Dispensaries opened in NJ this Summer

By Cheeba Comida

Amid a summer filled with record-breaking heat waves, an abundance of political drama, and an untold amount of flight cancellations, pot smokers in New Jersey can find some solace and relief in knowing that our state has opened up three more weed dispensaries, increasing the official total to 18 (and counting).

New Jersey’s latest dispensary to open, Zen Leaf in Neptune Township, owned by Verano Holdings, opened its doors to the public on Friday, August 5, 2022. This new Zen Leaf location, just like the other two retail locations in the state, will feature both a medicinal and a recreational (Adult-use) cannabis menu. It is now the second dispensary to open in Monmouth County.

The Apothecarium Dispensary, owned by TerrAscend, also expanded its footprint in the state this summer with a new retail location in the Borough of Lodi, located in Bergen County about 25 minutes from Newark. This is the third Apothecarium Dispensary to open in the state.

This Lodi location, however, boasts one exciting and unique feature that the other two do not, a Drive-Thru! This may be a feature that other dispensaries will adopt in the future, but for now it is on the only dispensary in the state that offers a drive-thru option. I ‘d like an order of fries and a shake. I mean a gram of wax and an eighth!

Last on the list of dispensaries that opened this summer, but certainly not least is Bloc Dispensary in Ewing, owned by Justice Cannabis Co. This dispensary is medicinal only so smokers without a MMP card will have to find weed elsewhere. For residents familiar with the Mercer County area, Bloc Dispensary is conveniently located on Olden Avenue and is open 7 days a week from 10am-7pm. Bloc states that it will open its doors to recreational users as well in the future.

Sour Triangle Wookies

RATING

Quantity Smoked: .7 gram
Consumption Method: non-flavored hemp wrap
Flavors Detected: mild earthiness, herbaceous
Notable Effects: focus, mild buzz, mellow
Effects Duration (hours): 2+

Despite wishing that Sour Triangle Wookies had slightly more “force,” the strain does deliver a high that is overall satisfying. The effects are not heavy on the head, and one can expect to feel calm, mellow and mentally relaxed. It’s not a high will that will have you feeling like you’re stuck in park, nor is it an energy booster as some sativa dominant strains can be. The flavor profile is difficult to pin down due to its subtlety, but faint herbal notes can be detected in the occasional puff. Any padawans stepping into the recreational cannabis arena may certainly enjoy Sour Triangle Wookies, but for the jedi master OG smokers, this strain will not send you to a galaxy far, far away.

So what’s the deal with Weed in New Jersey?

Here are the answers to the most common FAQs          Vol. 1

Who can purchase weed/cannabis/pot in New Jersey?

Any one 21 years of age or older with a valid ID can legally purchase weed in New Jersey. Even if you’re from out of town, as long as your ID is valid, you’re good to go!

Can I purchase weed at any dispensary I want to in the state of New Jersey?

Unfortunately, no. Some dispensaries remain medicinal only, meaning you will have to be a registered patient in the Medicinal Marijuana Program to visit them. Luckily, there are plenty of recreational/adult-use dispensaries to choose for from in The Garden State. And the list is growing still!

DISPENSARY GUIDE – Cheeba Comida – NJ Dispensary Guide

How much weed can I purchase in a single visit to the dispensary?

The minimum quantity of dry flower usually available for purchase in most dispensaries in New Jersey is one eighth (3.5grams of bud). The most an individual without a weed medical card can purchase is one ounce (28 grams of bud).

What is the difference between Adult-use and Recreational?

Absolutely nothing. They mean they exact same thing. Use them interchangeably in you want.

What if I don’t know how to roll? Will the dispensary roll a joint for me?

No, they will not roll a joint for you, but you can purchase a pre-roll at just about any dispensary. A pre-roll is a joint that has already been rolled and usually contains between 0.7-1.0 grams of cannabis/bud.

How much does weed cost in a New Jersey dispensary?

The prices vary from place to place. Smokers can expect on average to pay anywhere from $40-$70/eight (3.5 grams of bud). Strains that have a high THCA% and THC% typically tend to be on the higher end of the price scale.
